So, having problems using the scroll wheel in certain menus? Do they seem to be “spring loaded” and automatically jump back to the top of the menu you are scrolling in?
Try opening the menu, clicking in the menu using the mouse wheel “button” (push the mouse wheel down). Now, try scrolling through the menu again. That should fix this annoyance!
I have decided to get rid of networxz.com and host all the technical blogging I do on this site. I hope this will help to build a potential resume base, as well as a repository of stuff I’ve learned so I can go back when I forget what I have already learned!
If you are getting memory allocation errors in your php scripts, for example in a php widgit in your Wordpress blog, you need to increase the memory limit in your php.ini file.
Ftp into your host account. Locate the php.ini file. This is usually in your public_html folder. If you are using cpanel as your backend to your hosting account, be sure to select php4 (single ini) or php5 (single ini) in software/services under the php config icon. Click save changes, and you will have created a single php.ini.default file in your public_html directory. Edit this file to read memory_limit = 48M or some other number greater than the amount of memory your script was trying to allocate (refer to the error message recieved).
Save the php.ini.default file as php.ini and then ftp upload it to your public_html directory. Try to refresh your www.myblog.com/wp-admin page and the script memory allocation errors should go away.
Well, I finally made it to Hawaii. I will try to update this blog more frequently with any tips and tricks I run across. Probably about once or twice a month. I do most of my blogging on my niche blog, www.pentecostalblogger.com.
There will be a small hiatus in my blogging as I will be deep below the ocean. I’ll try to get a few posts in before I set sail, but in the mean time I hope you’ve enoyed the posts thus far.
I’m devoting a lot of free time to blogging and forums. I’m going to try starting up a blog about computers, networking, programming, and web design. I’ve also created a new bible study forum. See my previous post for the url. In the mean time, check out Networxz for my new blog on computer hobbies! This will also be my first attempt at using Google Ad Sense to generate some revenue. Should be an interesting experience to say the least. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to leave them here or on the new blog. I’m still going to maintain APSG as well for my theological ramblings.
Welcome to my new blog. I have decided to switch over to Wordpress from my old Joomla site. Joomla is very goood, but it has more features than what I needed for my personal blogging site, so therefore I have decided to go with Wordpress rather than Joomla.
Wordpress also offers better speed than Joomla did. Anyway, I will be posting to this site as well as my theology studies at Apostolic Pentecostal Study Group.
